We never automatically add baggage to flights because everyone travels differently, and we don’t want to assume what kind of luggage you’ll need.
When you made your booking, our Extras page gave you the option to add bags. It also showed what baggage (if any) was already included, as this varies between airlines. (See screenshot below for an example.)
If you didn’t add bags at the time of booking, don’t worry - you can still add them directly with the airline later on.
There are a few reasons we don’t automatically include luggage:
- Many of our customers take short breaks and only need hand luggage.
- Some travellers rent equipment (like skis) at their destination.
- Others prefer to share one checked bag with a travel partner.
We also avoid adding unnecessary costs to your trip - airlines rarely refund baggage fees once paid, so we’d rather leave that choice up to you.
