What do I need to know about travelling with children?

Bring warm clothing and ski gear for the little ones, and pack a few of their favourite snacks and small toys to keep them occupied during breaks.

Flights

Children under 2 can sit on an adult's lap during the flight, so you don't need to buy them a seat. They can be added after booking for a smaller fee.

Children over 2 will need their own seat. Please make sure you enter their correct date of birth when booking, as an incorrect date of birth can cause problems at check-in later on.

Please see our Infant Booking Process for more detail.

Transfers

If you've booked a private or shuttle transfer, we can often request a car seat to be put in the vehicle for you, so you don't need to carry one. If you'd like this, please email us at customers@heidi.com, and we'll request it from our supplier.

If you've booked a coach transfer and your children need car seats, you'll need to bring these with you, as the coach cannot supply them.

Accommodation

Many accommodations offer baby care packages that include a cot, high chair, and possibly a baby bath. If you'd like one, please get in touch or add it to your special requests box at the time of booking.

Please be aware there may be a fee for baby equipment rental, depending on the accommodation. This can usually be paid on arrival.
