What paperwork & documentation do I need for my holiday?

Before you travel, make sure you have all the correct documents ready and to hand. Here are a few things to double-check beforehand:

  • Make sure your passport is valid for your trip. For most EU countries, it needs to have been issued within the last 10 years and be valid for at least 6 months after the date you plan to leave. Check the country you're visiting, as well as the country of any airport you fly into if it's different, on the Foreign Travel Advice pages.

  • Check whether you need a visa or travel authorisation. UK citizens don't currently need a visa for short trips to Europe. Please check the latest requirements on gov.uk before you go.

  • Check in for your flight and download or print your boarding pass beforehand. Most airlines offer digital boarding passes you can keep on your phone. Check-in windows vary by airline, so please check with your carrier for exact times. Make sure the name on your boarding pass matches the name in your passport.

  • Print out any vouchers we've provided. You should have one for your ski hire, lift pass, lessons and coach transfer if these apply to your holiday. You can access your vouchers in your MyBooking portal.

  • If you're travelling with a child who doesn't share your surname, for example a niece, nephew, or one of your children's friends, you'll need to bring a permission slip signed by at least one of their legal guardians, along with a copy of their passport. If it's your own child but you don't share a surname, we'd advise bringing a copy of your marriage certificate or their birth certificate.

  • Make sure you have adequate travel insurance for your ski trip, including winter sports cover, and bring any documents you may need for it.
